If you go to any post, edit snippet. Select some text, now type. Instead of acting like the rest of the world where what you type/paste would replace what was selected, they do some weird things and the whole text box gets messed up.

This could also be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:
    1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
    2. Check for conflicts.
    3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.
If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.
If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

Well I’ve reported it. Happened right after upgrading from v7.x.
It’s recorded and someone else can prove it’s not only me.

If the issue appears if you are using a default theme like TwentySeventeen, and only Yoast SEO for WordPress 8.4, and ruled out the possiblity of conflicts with other plugins and themes, then please keep track of an update in your logged GitHub issue.

More often than not, it is most likely a plugin or theme conflict which is causing the Yoast SEO meta box to not work as expected or not to load properly.

Closed. No further concerns. If a GH issue was created, please follow the status of the report from there.
