I recently updated a client site from a staging install to the live site. The previous live site showed the Yoast settings correctly, but once I deployed (using wpengine) the staging site to the live site, the settings are completely gone. The only thing visible is the Keywords Research tab from the top admin bar Yoast icon. There is no Yoast settings area on the side admin menu.

When I deployed, I did a full database deploy as well as the theme/plugin files because the client had a lot of content on the staging site that they didn’t want to lose/have to do again. The issue persists even when Yoast is the only active plugin and the theme is switched to Twenty Seventeen.

    Here’s a link to a screenshot.

Can you please remove the Yoast SEO plugin and reinstall the plugin on your production site to check whether this resolves the issue?

I did that already. Currently I”m testing an old version of the site (which had Yoast working fine) on a staging area to see if I can pinpoint/work around the issue.

Same here, I did the following actions:

    – uninstalled/reinstalled Yoast SEO v7.6.1 on WP v4.9.6
    – checked for plugin conflict with Health Check

but Yoast settings remain invisible while plugin is active (XML sitemap live, titles, etc)

If I try to reach for instance /wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpseo_titles , I get: ” sorry you are not allowed to access this page”

I just bought and installed Yoast Video and wanted to use it…

@voyados The issue you are experiencing isn’t specific to this thread. From Yoast SEO v7.0, we have minimized many options to simplify the UX. Please, refer to our this article to learn more about what was changed on Yoast SEO v7.0.

Just an update. I still have no idea what caused the issue, but I was successfully able to restore an earlier version of the site (when Yoast was still working) and manually add in my revisions. I have no clue what in my core files or database might have caused this, but so far, I’ve worked around it.

@mazedulislamkhan I’m afraid it has nothing to see with UX and article mentioned. Settings are not minized: they are nowhere to be seen and seem inaccessible by URL (unless Yoast admin URL is now different ?).
