    Hi there

I’m going through the instructions of how to use yoast correctly and on every instruction there on how to adjust a SEO-Title (Page – Yoast Seo Box). It’s supposed to be underneath the box for the Focus Keyword but it’s just not there. Also the Meta Description box is missing and instead of those I find the content analysys just underneath…

Generally it doesn’t quite look like in the instructions. There are no separate boxes for “general”, “content” and “advanced”. I got “content” (which is all the stuff i mentioned above), “advanced” and “social”

Is this difference in connection with my theme (tesseract 2)? Or is it because I got the free version?

I hope you know what I mean (it’s always a bit difficult to explain) and can help me ??

    Thanks a lot!

  • What Yoast version do you use?

    Hi Anna
It should be the latest version as I just updated it yesterday: 3.0.7

But it was already like that with the version before

Why I was asking what Yoast version do you use – because the new version has a completely different interface. It sounds like you went through instructions that were actual for previous version.

In the new version you change Title and Meta description right in the Snippet Editor.

Advanced page is under “gear” tab now.

Aaah, I see, that’s why the meta turned green in the content when I changed it in the snippet! ??

It confused me a little that the title just disappears when I clicked on it so I never really tried to write in there too.

    Thanks so much! ??

I know! I use Yoast for years and this new interface confused me too ??

    Glad It helped. Good luck!
