I can create a temporary user. In edit mode (old editor) I can see the SEO tabs: SEO, Readability, Scheme, Communities and just their headers. On any of my pages (I’m using the classic editor) I only see the headings. I can’t enter a keyword or edit the meta section. This happened after one of the recent updates. Is it my fault or can something be done about it?

I went back to version Yoast SEO 16.1.1 and the problem is gone, I can work and edit SEO parameters. The problem has been present since version 16.2.

I have the same problem. With the Classic Editor the SEO tabs do not open and with the Block Editor the page for editing does not open and presents an error message “the editor has encountered an unexpected error”

I returned the plugin version to 16.1.1 and both the Classic Editor and the Block Editor work.

The problem is in later versions of the plugin.

@rmorek We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site.

A?blank meta box?issue occurs due to a JavaScript conflict. So?we’d like you to please perform a conflict check. This will help us narrow down the exact cause and determine what the next steps are while saving you time.

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.

Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

If you do not feel comfortable to do this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.

I really appreciate your help as I have the same problem.

You can check the advanced section of the Yoast SEO plugin page here to find older versions of our plugin. However, please do understand we don’t provide support for older versions of our plugin.

Also, we would appreciate it if you could create your own forum topic/thread on this issue, so we can investigate this further for your specific use case and so you can receive notifications and replies specifically for your thread.

    Thanks.

We are sorry downgrading to an old version resolves the issue but this is not advisable in the long run. We just released Yoast SEO 16.4. Please update to that version and let us know if the issue persists.

We are having the same issue on one of our sites.

Version 16.4 still has the issue. 16.1.1 is the only one working.

We are using classic editor and advanced custom fields. However we are using those plugins on another site as well without that particular issue/bug.

For now we had to downgrade as well.

Posted it here so you can see this is a common issue on the latest verison.

    Thanks
