Hi, I am experiencing this problem with Yoast SEO. I tried to embed photos from Canva to my site’s blog post using custom html. However, I’m not sure why Yoast SEO does not detect my embedded image, as it keeps saying I don’t have an image. Anyone knows if its a Yoast problem, or is it Canva’s problem?

  • Hey @jh07,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I understand you use a custom HTML block to embed a Canva image, but Yoast SEO still says that there are no images in the post. I can understand that this feels counterintuitive.

I checked to do the same, and I can replicate the behavior. However, this is due to the fact that you embed an iframe, and we can’t read the HTML within the external site on Canva. In the post, there is no image HTML tag, but only the iframe towards Canva.

    Hope you understand.

So can Google read this if Yoast is unable to do so?

@jh07 Yes, that is correct. Whereas the Yoast SEO analysis isn’t able to detect the image, Google should be able to detect the image.
