    Update:

When I google “cache:theclan.dk” I get a 404 error saying: The requested URL /search?sxsrf=ALeKk039e1osVGNTec5aqrLimo48_QMYlQ%3A1614350664130&ei=SAk5YMqqB4CHwPAP17-msAQ&q=cache%3Atheclan.dk&oq=cache%3Atheclan.dk&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAM6BAgjECc6BAgAEEM6BQgAEJECOgIIAFC3DFiDHmCMH2gCcAB4AIABbogBtgiSAQQxMy4xmAEAoAEBqgEHZ3dzLXdpesABAQ&sclient=gws-wiz&ved=0ahUKEwjK7oLv5IfvAhWAAxAIHdefCUYQ4dUDCA0&uact=5 was not found on this server.

I have no idea what this means, but maybe it is related to my problem

@alfredfeldthaus We’re sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue on your site.

However, we checked on your site and reviewed the source code of the home page and do see that the Yoast SEO plugin is outputting the meta description as the following (see image here):

<meta name="description" content="The Clan is a network of freelancers and independent business owners, specialized in developing engaging communication across all channels." />

Can you please confirm that that is the expected meta description for the page?

Also, we checked in a Google search here and confirmed that this is the meta description that Google is displaying for us (see image here).

If you clear your cache (server, plugin/theme, browser, or CDN such as Cloudflare) does this resolve the issue? If you are not sure how to clear your server cache you should speak with your host provider. We have information on how to clear your browser cache at the following link: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-clear-my-browsers-cache/.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply

“The Clan is a network of freelancers and independent business owners, specialized in developing engaging communication across all channels.” Is the intended meta description yes.

However, clearing my cache did not help the issue.

Any other ideas how to fix this? – I really dont understand why this is happening, since everything appears to be in order, however the google results are still not displayed correctly

    Hi,

We can see you are now using Squirrly SEO. See image: https://ibb.co/Z8NPcBf

If you continue to run into issues with the meta description we suggest contacting those plugin authors as this Yoast support forum is only able to support sites which are using the Yoast plugin.

If you decide to switch back to Yoast we are happy to take a closer look.

    Hi,

I litterally just switched to Squirrly SEO to see if that would change my problem, however, that didnt help anything either. So I believe I will switch back to YOAST if I find a fix. Right now im just testing different SEO plugins to find one that works for me.

    Hi,

Ok! No worries! If you do come back to Yoast and the issue still continues using our product on your site we are happy to take a closer look!
