Yoast SEO & Polylang : og:title and og:description not translated

    Hi guys,

    I’ve found multiple topics on the internet about this problem, unfortunately none of them have an answer, so I give it a try here.

    My default language is FRENCH, and I’ve translated my website to ENGLISH. It works well except all my posts in ENGLISH keep my og:title and og:description from the metadescription in FRENCH, even if I’ve translated all the metadescription to ENGLISH.

    It seemed YOAST SEO keeps taking the default language, and not the language of the translated post, but I’ve contacted their support and they are saying it’s coming from Polylang. It seems the bug exist for 5 months now, but I can’t imagine this has not been solved yet.

    POLYLANG Version 2.8.3
    YOAST SEO Version 15.2.1

    Any ideas ?

    I don’t reproduce your issue but I maybe missed a step. Could you please describe your issue step by step with screenshots to well understand it? That will allow me to reproduce it on my side. To well understand the context of your screenshot please don’t remove anything.

    I have a similar problem with:
    Yoast SEO Versione 15.2.1
    Polylang Versione 2.8.4

    The Yoast meta title of my homepage (“title-home-wpseo” on Polylang strings translation) and the meta description (“metadesc-home-wpseo” on Polylang strings translation) are present on strings translation. They are different and traslate in different way, but when I charge the homepage I see the content of the title also put in the meta description.
    When I put off the Polylang plugin, the two meta return to being written correctly.
    Could you help me?
