    No other activated plugins,

Started happening after setting up Cloudflare, (possibly te initial causer)

but Now I have reverted back to my host and still happening as permanently dead.

    Screenshot: https://prntscr.com/sltce5

Those tabs in the screenshot are not responsive at all.

Is this a known issue that is currently happening? Do I just need to wait or is this plugin dead? ??

Update – It’s NOT cloudflare related, my test site shows a dead Yoast SEO plugin too.

I will try to roll back the plugin since I’m hearing a lot of disaster stories about the latest update.

I’ve tried googling solutions to what is enfolding to be a huge wide scale problem and I keep ending up with stuff called Rank math?

    Okay Update:

I did the rollback across various versions and the issue is still there

    Things also checked:

The SEO and Readability is enabled on the posts.

The Yoast SEO is ticked in Screen Options on the upper right-hand side when editing a post or page.

@kristianngve Can you please confirm you are using the most recent Yoast v14.1? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

Also, can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.4.1? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. ?If you update to the most current version of WordPress and Yoast SEO, does this resolve the issue?

If the issue is still occurring after confirming both Yoast SEO and WordPress are updated, this may be due to a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:

    1. Check for conflicts.
    2. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.
If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

Yes, they are all updated to the most recent

Also, I have seen so many people have the same issue as me recently.

Here is another person’s video showing the same issue but a different theme – it’s the same bug:

Yes, SEO is important and I should have the paid version, but tbh, with bugs like this, I wouldn’t risk it until I see how this fix goes.

Many have said it maybe the beginning of the end for Yoast SEO with this new version causing some sort of biblical ending issues ??

I will hold on to the situation and see how it plays out with all this talk of Rank Math coming in as a solution. ~ That is the buying process when, as you suggested, going to a paid version. It seems for me and many others, we are without choice of keeping with Yoast SEO if it is dead. it’s out of all our hands.

ok, it’s working now. It was due to being out of date version. I literally just got the notification minuets ago. I am not sure how late this fix was.

I am too busy to make the plugin change yet the door has now become open for e, and what I saw with a mass herd affect of people having this shared issue.

Yes I will end up paying for the plugin, but forgive me for being honest, to you and all readers, I am sorry but it will be Rank Math. They don’t have all these issues from my research. I maybe wrong, but if you see them, they don’t go through the drama I have gone through here. – they simply don’t.

Another thing, since feedback is important: You guys are an old long standing plugin ?? good but bad, you’ve inherited many old bugs that was best of WP years ago. like a Dinosaur that managed to make it through to our modern world where the environment isn’t optimal. It was your time, but that time is passing, it is time for Rank Math to shine and all to stand aside. I see that clearly now. ~

The old king is dead, long live the king.
