    Hi @woodboxmedia, @flandreau and @maxborysov

We are not sure why the server 500 was generated, though we do know it means there is an issue with the server. To resolve the issue we suggest the following actions:

    1. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 4.8.3 and are using the right PHP and database versions??This guide explains more:?https://kb.yoast.com/kb/plugin-requirements/.?You can check the WordPress version by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. If you are not sure what PHP or database versions you have, please speak with your host provider.?

    2. Confirm that no other plugin or theme is causing the server 500 error. You can confirm this by performing a conflict check.?Sometimes strange behavior may be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. The fastest way to rule out conflicts is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like?Twenty Sixteen.?If this resolves the issue, you have a conflict and should activate one plugin at a time until you locate the conflict. Finally, after all plugins are active, switch to your theme. This will narrow down the conflict to a specific plugin or a theme conflict.

If you are unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we wrote a small guide that will walk you through the steps. You can find it here:?https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.

You may also wish to create a staging site. Some staging sites may be provided by your host provider. We ask that you please speak with them. Additionally, if needed, this guide explains more about creating a staging site:?https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-staging-environment-for-a-wordpress-site/.?

    3. If the issue persists, you should check your server logs for information on why a 500 error was given as there may be a clue. If you are not sure how to do that, we suggest speaking with your host provider.

    4. Confirm that the server is correctly configured. Your host provider may have more information or may need to adjust the settings or increase the PHP memory limit.?This guide explains more:?https://kb.yoast.com/kb/fatal-error-allowed-memory-exhausted/.
