Yoast SEO Only English posts not showing in Blog page

    Hi – I am running a bilingual EN/JP site with Polylang plugin. It’s on a single domain. I installed Yoast SEO a few days ago and made modifications to various pages and posts on my site. All seems to work well, However, today my English posts are NOT showing on the English blog page. I tried publishing new posts in English but they don’t show up either. The Japanese posts and blog are working fine. When I type an existing English post url directly in a browser the page cannot be found. I have deactivated all plugins but the problem persists. I wonder if this has anything to do with modifications I made using Yoast SEO plugin?

  • Hello Roberto,

    I don’t think this Yoast SEO issue but if you still think then please deactivate the WordPress SEO plugin.

    Otherwise I suggest to deactivate the polylang plugin to debug the issue.

    Thanks, I tried deactivating all plugins.

    I forgot to add that I can see the English posts when I am logged in as admin.
    Could it be a privacy setting somewhere? I have set the posts to public and publish immediately. Roberto

    Sometimes resetting the permalink structure will quickly solve errors from a recent change to your installation. Go to Admin > Settings > Permalinks and click save without altering anything.

    Otherwise, sometimes strange behavior may be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. If you are unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we wrote a small guide that will walk you through the steps. You can find it here: How To Check For Plugin Conflicts

    Thank you. I repeated the process of deactivating all plugins, and discovered that it was in fact a plugin that is causing the problem.
