    Hi,

I have a standard WordPress site on Thrive Themes.
    WordPress is 5.3.2-en-GB
Thrive is lastest with rise theme
    Classic editor plugin not installed

The issue I am having is that I’m no longer seeing key parts of Yoast SEO functionality.
Just goes straight into Advanced https://www.screencast.com/t/j8lFNr4oOi

I’ve tried deactivating all plugins and switching back on one by one – No effect.
I’ve tried replacing theme with standard WordPress theme – No effect.

I’ve looked at Post – More options – options. Yoast SEO is ticked.
I’ve gone into SEO general – features and switched bars off (saved) and on (saved) – No effect.
I’ve gone into SEO – Taxonomies and re-shown the boxes – No effect.
I’ve gone into Users and checked none of the Yoast disable checkboxes are checked – No effect.

The only thing I see is in the post under categories it says

An error occurred loading the Yoast SEO primary taxonomy picker.'
With the code as: (domain name replaced with 'X.com')

TypeError: Cannot read property 'setPrimaryTaxonomyId' of null

    Hi,

What you describe is a bug. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We apologize for the trouble you are experiencing with our plugin. A bug report is currently open with our development team for this issue.

Please go to SEO-Search Appearance-Content Types and double check that the metabox says SHOW for all the content types where the issue is happening. We ask as selecting HIDE for content types that you want users to see results in that error.

If you have further information or would like to follow the progress of the report, you can do that here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/13032. We suggest commenting on the issue so you may be kept up to date. You may need an account in order to comment.

So I revisited the first site I was working on. It just seems to be that one site that is experiencing this issue.

@pcosta88 Metabox set to show for all three cases

@sumeenz Thats great. I too on your encouragement went back to version 12.9 but i’m not seeing any change my end – still unresolved

Also, before downgrading to V12.9 I saw there was a new v13.1 available and tried that. Unfortunately that did not work either.

@osirisg @tumble2458 Thanks for confirming your issue is resolved.

@sumeenz Please create a new issue if you are experiencing a similar problem as this helps us in tracking as this can be caused by many different variables (WordPress version, other plugins, etc).

@devnihil Just to confirm my issue remains unresolved, that is even after testing v13.1 and 12.9

@devnihil My issue is resolved after downgrading to v12.9

SOLUTION. Deactivate and Reactivate. It’ll solve itself asap.

I’m not having the same issues as above. I can’t view Yoast in the Meta Box on my posts. Nothing is there. Just blank. It’s only on the sidebar. But it’s there on my Pages. I’ve deactivated and reactivated Yoast and it didn’t work. Everything is set to “Show” under search appearance>content types>posts. How do i get this resolved? This happened to me about 2 weeks ago and haven’t figured out how to fix it.

    Hi,

At the time I did struggle to get this resolved. What did work at the end was fully deleting, trying an older version then updating. Also at the time a newer update came about which resolved same issue on other sites.

Advice from my side as OP is just make sure all plugins are upto date, including theme, WP. Having said that I’m also noticing similar conflicting are reappearing with the new WP update. Also, clear cache from browser, use different browser too.

    Hope that helps

for me, it was because adblocker was turned on and disabling it

Please do not jump into other topics and detract from their problem. If the troubleshooting already posted made no difference for you, then, as per the Forum FAQ, please post your own topic. A lot more people will see your post, and that way you stand a good chance of getting the assistance you want. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, accounts, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Thus one problem, on one setup is not indicative of the functionality and reliability of an application as a whole. Your post will be archived.
