• I installed Yoasts WordPress SEO today, after all the great things I’d read about it.

All appears to be working as intended, except the blogs title is currently the latest post.

In the titles settings, it says You can determine the title and description for the front page by editing the front page itself ?. But there is no box to enter the homepage title. The first input box is for the post title, which works as intended.

I’ve seen some screenshots that show the homepage title fields, just below the sentence.

Any idea what I’ve done wrong or is it an incompatibility with 3.1?

  • This great plugin is doing exactly the same for me – the title of the blog page is that of the first post. Interestingly, the title is correct on subsequent pages.

I have gone in and manually set the ‘SEO title’ for the blog page, typing in the sitename and title – and I have amended the header file so that the title section is <title><?php wp_title(''); ?></title>. In Settings > Reading, I have selected the “static page” I want my posts to appear on.

    I’m running Version 0.2.5.4 and WordPress 3.1.1

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
