• Hi there

I have already tried several things concerning the following issue, no luck/success yet. Maybe you are able to assist.

    Environment

    WordPress 6.1.1
Yoast SEO (installed, cannot tell the version right now as I can’t see it in the plugins overview either)
    PHP 7.4.33

So the Yoast SEO plugin is missing from the WP menu/dashboard. However, when checking the database, the Yoast SEO tables are still there.

Have you ever had such a problem in the past and could maybe tell me what is wrong in my case?

    Thanks in advance
    Michael

  • Hey @michih,

Thank you for using Yoast SEO and for reaching out!

If it is no longer in the plugin overview page, I can only think of the plugin folder/files being incomplete. Please delete the /wordpress-seo/ directory if it is still present in /wp-content/plugins/.

After making sure that the directory is deleted, you can install the plugin again. Doing all this won’t remove your previous Yoast work or settings, those are indeed stored in your database, that’s why you still see the Yoast tables.

Do let us know how it goes :-).
