    I have installed Yoast SEO Plugin, but it automatically adds its pre default meta tags. I want to add my own customized meta tags on category pages but as there is no such option in the plugin. when I add manually on category pages form page editor it shows pre default meta tag but not showing my own customized meta tag.

    Please help me how do I add my own meta tag on each individual category pages.

    I can not understand How it works, could anyone please help me.
    I want to create unique meta tags for each category page.

    When you edit a category, the meta tags show to default template. If you want to change this to a unique meta tag, click the ‘Edit Snippet’ button. Modify or replace the default template using either words, variables or a combination of the two.
