    Hi Matthias,

I make a new thread for another question ??

I’ve seen your FAQ and was wondering if there is a way to check that Yoast did apply the meta tags to avoid duplicate contents and bad seo?

More generally, how to be sure that using the plugin won’t affect in a bad way our SEO score?

    thank you

I already checked the sitemap by SEO, it’s looks fine, the new secondary domains apprear well!

you can see the canonical tag in the source code of each page.
    does that answer your question?

Sorry i’m not familiar with that.

I have this in the source page of the secondary domain:
    <link rel=”canonical” href=”myoriginalslug.com”>
So everything is ok I guess!?

I have another question, maybe the last one… ??
Does it change the general ranking of the main site/domain if we use sub domains to map a few pages of our main domain with your plugin?

Ok I think I have my answer.
As the canonical link is still the original slug link, it won’t change anything in the global ranking seo of entire website, am I right?

    hy,
    * if you visit a page that has a mapping active, you should see the new domain in the canonical-tag, no matter if you enter the original url or the mapped url. therefore, all seo-power will concentrate on the new domain (which was the intention to write this plugin)
    * sub-domains are treated as individual domains. but that is something that you can easily read in the google webmaster guidelines: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/7451184?hl=en

    Hi,

    thanks again for your reply.
    – yes I understand and indeed I have the new domain in canonical tag so it’s working well ??
    – On Google Search Console I have this warning on my sitemap:
Sitemap can be read, but has errors
    URL not allowed

It’s the URL corresponding to the new domains.

    So my questions are:
    – do we have to setup the “new” domains as a new property in GSC?
    – If so, what are the consequences to this?

    thank you very much

    glad to hear ??
we can not give seo advice here and won’t respond further to gsc questions. but once again, please refer to the google webmaster guidelines: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/75712?hl=de -> if you have every domain verified as a property, it will be ok to have the urls in one sitemap.

    good luck
    matt
