We just upgraded to 5.9.1, and the Yoast SEO meta box completely disappeared for all of our pages. We didn’t change any settings, and we double checked that the meta box is set to be shown for every page type (we’ve done everything described here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/yoastseo-meta-box-missing/).

However, even though it’s set to be shown in the Yoast plugin settings, the meta box checkbox option does NOT appear in the Screen Options.

  • I have this problem too, when post/pages are globally set to noindex section in ‘Titles and Metas’ the Yoast SEO meta box disappears.
I placed a support request last week but had no reply.

We apologize for the trouble you are experiencing with our plugin. Post types that are set to noindex will not have the Yoast SEO metabox. We understand this is unwanted behavior and our development team is working on correcting the issue. If you have further information or would like to follow the progress of the report, you can do that here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/8445

    Hi,
‘Titles and Metas in the Yoast SEO’ meta box disappears. Kindly give solution to solve

I am panicking because this just happened to me when I updated Yoast and updated WordPress. I’ve lost all metatags and all data pertaining to SEO. What is the solution please?

same here, all metaboxes are gone on pages. my workaround is to deactivate
the all in one security pluging and reactivate it. that brings the metaboxes back.
the procedure has to be done on every login… before both worked great together for years.. problem appears also in twentyseventeen theme…please solve the issue ??
