We’re sorry that you are experiencing problems that might be caused by our plugin!
    ?
Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Nineteen.
    ?
Can you please run another conflict check and see if the issue goes away when using the default WP theme? Also, can you please confirm if everything is updated (plugins and themes)?

Let us know how it goes.

I’m a bit hesitant to do all this on a live site.

I’m also getting this error below the category selector:
An error occurred loading the Yoast SEO primary taxonomy picker.

Will the above error tell you what’s wrong without me having to deactivate plugins and switch themes?

The same issue for me, it gives JS error in the console, please check: https://prnt.sc/o7umij

As requested, I deactivated all non-Yoast plugins and switched to Twenty Nineteen using the Health Check plugin. I am still facing the same problem.

All my plugins and theme are up to date.

I’m also getting this error below the category selector:
An error occurred loading the Yoast SEO primary taxonomy picker.

Hello I’m having the same problem on this website https://aplicacionesparaligar.gratis, I had to do a rollback to make it work again, if this continues so I will have to change plugin seo. Any solution?

Having the same issue when adding a new Envira Gallery. Can still see edit on main pages.
    Any fix yet?

@pilarsegura what version have you rolled back to?

@amboutwe The github thread only refers to the primary taxonomy picker problem. It doesn’t have any info about the missing metabox.

This problem should qualify as a “high priority issue”, since quite a few people are facing this problem, with an estimate of how long it will take to resolve it.

@pilarsegura What version have you rolled back to and how?

@amboutwe any update on when the missing metabox will be fixed?

any update on when the bug will be fixed? I’m getting a similar error, please see below. All my plugins, WordPress and PHP version are up to date.
