  • Do you think that activating an old version of the plugin is the only one solution to use snippet editor? There will be no data-lost?

As far as I know there is no data loss, however I recommend that you backup your DB anyway.

I have two word press sites womenfitnessguide.org & best-teethwhitening-kit.com and I have faced same problem in both with updating seo yoast Snippet Editor.

Sometimes problem generated due to use of many plugins. Because they conflict with each other. So i deactivate all plugins. But the problem still. Try this way may be it work for you.

Sometime it is happened due to versions conflict,so you need to keep updated your word press version and plugin too. Keep these up to date.

But my problem is resolved in different way. When i off my mod_security feature for my domain from my hosting c panel. Then it is start working fine. Check this way may be your problem will resolved. If it is fixed in this way then you need to contact your web host. Tell them to fix it. Because this problem is generated due to his mod_security program. Sometime they use free & cheap mod_security software (utilities) that create the problem with word press websites when you want update them.

Note :- Do not off your domain mod_security it will make your domain unsafe or hack able. So keep it on always and contact your host to solve this. I recommend always you to buy a best web hosting. Stay away from cheap hosting. It has many technical issues.

Same problem with the last version today

I have the same problem. I updated yesterday and now the snippet editor is NOT to be found. I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried to write to Yoast but that is a joke. I hate upgrades with a passion. Hope someone knows how to fix this.

New update should fix any issues. My problem was the snippet editors did not function at all. They were visible, but did not allow editing.

New update released and it fixed any issues right away.

I tried rolling back to 3.07 and also to 3.0, but, still same problem. Has anyone found a solution to this yet. Here are my screenshots.
