    Dear,

We have a number of categories set in Woocommerce and linked to our products. These are general category names, with no direct link to Google / Facebook categories.

Where can we set the Google / Facebook category for every product category so the link is done correctly? We are using the Woocommerce Yoast SEO plugin.

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. I am not entirely sure I understand your question correctly however when you configure a Google Shopping or Facebook feed you’ll come across the category mapping page, which looks like this:
    https://adtribes.io/cascading-mother-child-category-mapping-for-google-shopping/

On that page you map your WooCommerce categories to the category taxonomy of Google so the correct Google category ID’s end up in your feed.

Is that what you are looking for?

That is indeed wat we are looking for. However, the mapping fields are plain textboxes, no dropdown or search box.

Where do we find all possible category values?

When you start typing in the inbox field it should show an autosuggest drop-down after you typed 4 characters (when it finds a match).

    Hi,

Indeed. Problem is that we were scrolled down when typing and the suggestions appear on the very top of the page. Glad we sorted this out.

    Thanks.
