Yoast SEO & focus keyphrase not working

    Hello,

    I have have problems with Yoast SEO focus keyphrase. I did all the keyword research on google / recommended similar keywords (as told in guides) and found good keywords for my business (I have vape business in african country with little competition). However whenever i try to add anything to the focus keyphrase in Yoast SEO then i get the red face. Readabiity i get green face, but whatever ( I tried 30 different keywords at least) i add you the focus keyphrase still gets red face. I tried same with my other online marketing company and same happens with that. Is this not relly working or what am i doing wrong? Is there a better alternative with Yoast Seo if that doesnt work?

    Thank you for reaching out.

    Can you show us an example or screenshot of what suggestions you get when you get the red feedback? You can use a service like Pasteboard to link a screenshot.

    Additionally, we would like to know if you are running Yoast SEO 14.3 and that all other plugins, themes, and WordPress are up to date. If not, does updating change the feedback? Furthermore, one more thing. Are you using any third-party page builder or are you using the default WordPress editor?
