I use TablePress a lot. I love it and thank you so much for creating it. There is just one problem I have, and it’s a major problem. Yoast SEO plugin doesn’t recognize any content within the tables so on a page that is laden with images and content they are telling me to add pics and text.

Is there a way around this?
    Thanks!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

No, sorry, I’m afraid that this simply is a result of how Shortcodes work in WordPress ??
They are like a placeholder, so that plugins that deal with the “raw” post/page content will not see the content. There’s nothing that TablePress can do about this.

Now, the content in the table will of course be in the final page. That’s also what search engines like Google see, so they will pick up your content. It’s just the SEO plugin that can not recognize it.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thank you for the input Tobias. If the search engines can see it then that’s what really matters.

    Hi,

yes, that’s what counts, and that’s what’s happening ?? Search engines can not see a difference between content that has been added directly or via Shortcode.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
