The latest update to Yoast SEO seems to have disabled the Shortcodes Ultimate plugin. I depend on the [su_highlight]for important text[/su_highlight] and it looks weird when it doesn’t work.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @david57,

    Thank you for reaching out.

We had a test on a local environment with the latest Shortcodes Ultimate (v5.9.2) and Yoast SEO 14.5 but couldn’t replicate the issue. Both plugins stayed active and we used the highlight shortcode in a paragraph block without an issue.

Having said this, can you confirm you are also running the latest Shortcode Ultimate and that all other plugins, themes and wordPress itself are up to date? If not, can you please check if the issue persists after updating?

If it does, we would like you to do a conflict check to check if the issue happens when Shortcode Ultimate and Yoast SEO are the only active plugins on your site. You can do test this with the Health Check plugin as described in our conflict check tutorial: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.

Thank you for your quick response. I followed your suggestion with Health Check plugin. It shows there is no conflict with Yoast SEO. This is a problem with the Shortcodes Ultimate plugin because it doesn’t work even when it is the only plugin enabled. Sorry for the bother. Keep up the good work.
