Using yoast for seo on with your plugin.

things were going ok until a few months ago.

thought things were going downhill because of google updates.

recently did a check and seems term_description now no longer works but it did before. Also appears the problem occured when your plugin was updated.

    anyone else finding this too?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

Sorry, there seems to be a misunderstanding. Kindly let me know where you see that the “term_description” was not working. Please please provide us with as many details as possible. Our last version introduced several changes in the template files but they do not affect the SEO. It would be better if you could submit a ticket on our website here https://pluginsware.com/submit-a-ticket/

So, we could get some additional details about your website privately and investigate what goes wrong for you.

    Thanks

in yoast. Under ‘categories’ or ‘location’ i was using %term% in the title of page.

also using %term_description% in the description of page for SEO.

    this was working.

now, if i esit a category or term it shows what i would expect. But in reality the title is fine wwith %term% but the %term_Description% is actually output as exactly that. Not the teem description text.

therefore our ranking for seo and keywordsnhas been deopping dramatically as at first it is not obvious that it is not working.

thia could be your plugin or yoast although sems to gave happened when your plugin had an update as far as we can tell

    Hi,

It seems you should use %%term_title%% in the title page to make it. You mentioned that you’re adding %term_title% and it works, which is strange.

Additionally, our plugin has never supported %%term_description%%. You mentioned that %%term_description%% was working earlier, but there has been no change on our end as this feature was never included in our plugin. Therefore, the drop in SEO is not due to this issue. Please double-check your settings.

We are planning to release our next version within a week, which will support %%term_decription%% place holder. If you need this feature immediately, please contact us through our site at https://pluginsware.com/submit-a-ticket/ so we can assist you further.

    Thanks

well yes maybe i meant ‘term_title’

i am sure it worked ok with ‘term_descriprion’ before but if you say it wasn’t supported maybe it didn’t.

although that begs the question, why not also support term description aswell?

for seo purposes this would be a better idea.

i have since manually wriiten in description anyway to try recover seo rating.

    thanks
