YOAST SEO breaks permalinks

Hi,
When going to the Yoast settings, changing any settings and saving breaks the permalinks. Meaning that any page opened will result in a page with the “archived page content”. As soon as I go to Settings, Permalinks and click Save twice, then the pages work again.

I also have this when updating the plugin and not touching any setting. After every update I do need to save permalinks in order for the menu to work again correctly (if not, a page not found with the archive menu is shown).

After saving Permalinks Yoast is asking to re index as permalink setting changes may cause mal function but when doint the re index also permalink structure breaks again…

This is going on for more than one year now and only now I discovered that the reason of this is the Yoast plugin. I have more than 125 websites, none of them encounter this identical problem.

Any one can help me here how to proceed?
