I updated to the latest version this evening and immediately found that the SEO optimization box on my image files is not there any more. So I cannot do basic things like add Focus Keyword to image files.

Is this a bug or an intentional change?

    Thank you.

    Andy

Can you confirm you are using WordPress 4.9.8 and Yoast SEO for WordPress 9.2.1?

Do you mean editing one of your images in the media library? Can you check your settings under SEO > Search Appeasrance > Media? Do you have it set to redirect to the attachment itself?

    Hey there,
i have the same issue on my post editing page. My WordPress (4.9.8) and Yoast(9.2.1) is up to date. Here is a screenshot of my problem: https://imgur.com/xhmI0Ie

My media settings are on redirect to the attachment itself.

I went back to the obsolete version and everything works fine here.
I hope you can help us! <3

    Hi Michael,

Original poster here. Yes, I mean editing images through media library. I have WordPress 4.9.8 and Yoast 9.2.1 installed. I do have the SEO>Search Appearance>Media set to re-direct to the attachment itself.

Until I updated my Yoast plug-in a couple of days ago, there was a Yoast SEO Optimization box that opened up in each image file I opened through Media Library. That box is now gone.

There’s currently a reported bug between Yoast SEO 9.2 and WPML. The WPML developers have been informed about this and are currently working on releasing a fix. Their beta version has been tested to be working already so the official version should be released soon. You can view the report here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/11646#issuecomment-440657327

The workaround for the meantime is either to switch to the Gutenberg editor OR to downgrade the plugin to an older version (9.1) which you can download here: https://we.tl/t-zVztzlfHTP.

Hi, same by me since few days… I’m on the big updates on my website, and it’s very irritating to go back and work and work again on all of this stuff. When can you fix this?
No need to attach any screenshot, I’ve seen already above similar pictures as my own situation. I’m waiting also with 2 other pages with an update, since I want to avoid similar situation as I’ve on this one.

Same issue here. All latest version.
