    Hi,

I’m having issues with the Yoast SEO plug-in, and was wondering if someone could help me out?

The issue I’m having is that when I try to add a new post, I get an error message that prevents me from doing so.

Screenshot of the error message: https://ibb.co/D9Xq4Qk

So I went ahead and did an elimination process with all my plug-ins to see if any of them caused an issue, and unfortunately, it was the Yoast SEO plug-in. All my other plug-ins work fine when I try to add a new post.

I’ve contacted my domain host, and they said it’s a plugin issue and to try to use the Classic Editor plug-in. While that works, and I see the Yoast tabs, I don’t see any of the fields under it.

The last time I used it, was last week, May 4, 2021. It was working fine then. I’m not sure what happened between then and now. I have not added/updated anything new to my website, nor did I add any new plug-ins.

Another thing to note, I am using the free version, and I haven’t had any issues until now.

@devnihil I am currently running the latest version of WordPress and YoastSEO.

I just checked the Javascript on my browser console and it looks like there is an error.

    Hi @flouredframe

Thank you for sending us a screenshot of the JavaScript error that you are seeing.

In reviewing the screenshot we can see one that says Uncaught Syntax Error.

This error has been identified as coming from either your caching or security plugins. Something is being done on that search-metadata-previews-1620.js file before it gets to your browser which causes it not to load correctly/have all the right code it needs. We suggest the following:

    1. Contact your host provider and ask if they are using Imperva cache. If they are, ask that this cache be cleared. Imperva is a company that provides website solutions such as caching and security. Host providers may partner with them to provide these services.

    2. Contact your host provider and verify that no security plugins or software is impacting that file. Imperva itself might also be using security software on the site as well, so if you are using it for caching you may also need to verify their security software is correctly configured for the site. They may need to whitelist that URL. Could you check if you are using SiteLock for your website? Some users have reported that whitelisting Yoast SEO in the SiteLock settings also resolved the issue.
