The site throws a 503 error when users click one of the product categories in the WooCommerce shop. Server resources have already been increased.

I have enabled twenty twenty theme and disabled all other plugins excluding Yoast SEO 17.9 and the latest version of WooCommerce.
It did not resolve the issue.
When Yoast is disabled, the problem is resolved.
If I reactivate the site theme (BeTheme) with Yoast activated, the same problem occurs. The problem is resolved again by disabling Yoast SEO.

All plugins and themes are up to date.

    Thanks

We apologize for the inconvenience. We understand that seeing this error without more details is frustrating. Let’s look into this.

Inspecting your website it seems you’re using the older version v17.7.1 of Yoast SEO. If you were to update it does the issue resolve?

While we are in attempt to gather some more information about the cause of this error, would you be able to provide the error log information from your server? We want to see if there are any PHP errors recorded in the error log which might help us narrow down the cause. You may need to contact your hosting provider for this information.

We are looking forward to your reply in order to assist you with this further.

    Hello @suascat_wp

Thanks so much for your reply.
No unfortunately, updating to the latest version doesn’t resolve the issue, (I tried that on a staging server) only disabling it entirely does.

Unfortunately, the host only recently activated error logging. Would you still like them anyway?

Thanks so much for your help with this ??

    Hi again @suascat_wp

    My apologies for the delay.
The host enabled error logging, and I re-enabled the plugin to replicate the error in the hope it would show up in the error_log.
Unfortunately there isn’t any PHP errors. That error log isn’t being created.

Is there something else I can provide to help you understand the issue?

    Many thanks ??

    Hi @chickie1

We tried this out with a default WP theme (TwentyTwenty) and only Yoast SEO v17.9 and WooCommerce v6.1.1 as the plugins enabled, and went to a test product category page and viewed it from the frontend and were unable to generate or replicate any 503 errors.

Unfortunately, without any error messages or reliable way for us to reproduce this, it may be something local to your setup. Could you try (using troubleshooting mode in the Health Check plugin and a default setup) and generate the 503 error again and try to check your error log?

    Hi @mikes41720

Thanks. The latest WooCommerce and Yoast updates seems to have resolved things.

I truly appreciate all the efforts to get this resolved!

    Cheers ??
