Yoast says I’m not running the latest version of WordPress

    Hello,

    I have a client website that shows an error under Yoast that they aren’t using the latest version of WordPress, but they are on 5.6 the latest version.

    Why is this message throwing a false positive?

    Please advise.

    Hi,

    Would it be possible for you to provide a screenshot and more details where you are getting this notification from the Yoast SEO plugin where it’s showing as a false positive even if the website is on the latest version of WordPress 5.6?

    We do know that the Yoast SEO plugin should work with the latest version of WordPress 5.6. Would it help if you also try to temporarily deactivate the plugin and then reactivate it and see if the false positive message resolves itself.

    Ah thank you. Yes deactivating and reactivating the plugin removed it, but here’s a screenshot of what it looked like.
