Yoast Plugin Update 12.5.1 Fatal Error

I am currently running wordpress 5.2.4 and went to update the Yoast SEO plugin to 12.5.1.

The update caused a technical error on my site, which was only fixed by deactivating the Yoast SEO Plugin through recovery mode.

I verified that the update should be compatible with my theme, cleared my cache, and even restarted my computer, but am still not able to reactivate the plugin on my site.

Every time I try I receive an error that “plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error”.

Here is the actual error message:
