    Hi there,

My website is gymhire.ie and I’m working on the SEO for my website. As a first error to resolve for the amount of word count on each of the product pages, yoast is flagging that I have 110 words on one of my product pages which I bumped upto 300+ in product description but the calculation from the plugin still remained 110. When I removed the whole text from the description box. the calculation was still 110. I removed the text from meta description & features sections too but the word count was still 110. There’s precisely something wrong with the plugin which requires an immediate attention from you guys. I have pasted the web page link up in the column and and my website address in this chat box too.

Look forward to receiving a quick resolution here.

    Best Regards,

    Chirag

    HI @maybellyne ,

Please find attached the link https://pasteboard.co/Vte032mlMpUe.png to access the screenshot from the backend side of this product. I just discoved yesterday that this is happening across the website now. You can browse my website https://gymhire.ie/ and find that each of the product page is filled with more 300 words already just in description section as I was working on the website content from last week but the plugin is showing no more than 116 words for any the pages.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Best Regards,

    Chirag

Thanks for the screenshot, @chirag2 but it only shows the Yoast SEO analysis. Can you take another one that actually shows your content also?

I see your content is added in a content box, called product long description. This isn’t a default WordPress/WooCommerce content box but likely by another plugin or WooCommerce addon. See a screenshot of what the default is – product description

Yoast SEO analyzes the default WordPress content areas like the title, URL, the main content box (WordPress editor). If you are adding your content through other plugin or theme content boxes (as most page builders do), Yoast SEO may not be able to detect it by default.

Although our plugin does not detect your content and shows an incorrect analysis report, this does not affect how search engines crawl and analyze your site. Search engines process the front end of your site and will detect your content.
