My client’s blog archives (https://shannongeurin.com) are not working. I disabled all the plugins then reactivated – and figured out it was Yoast that was causing the problem. My client needs the Yoast plugin, though, so I really need to figure out a way to fix the plugin so that archives will work. (what happens when you click on the archive link is that it redirects to the homepage)

I went to the archives page in the Yoast plugin and went to Titles and Meta, and enabled the author archives thinking that would solve it, but it hasn’t fixed the issue.

(My client is using the 4.6 Beta 2 version of WordPress – she must have joined the beta program after I set her up. I don’t want to have to downgrade her site, though, unless it’s the only option)

    Thanks for any help!

By archives, do you mean the date based archives like example.com/2012 ? If so, they have a separate setting*.

If it’s a different archive, have you tried exporting** your client’s settings and resetting to default settings***? This will confirm if it’s a plugin setting causing the redirect.

Yep, I was talking about date based archives. Thanks so much for the help – I’m a little embarrassed to say that I just didn’t see the option to enable date based archives – but I enabled it and everything’s working correctly!

@hannahrosecreative No worries. We’ve all been there, staring right at something and still not seeing it. Have a fantastic week!
