I’ve been having formatting issues with the WP admin backend platform, Memberpress and my Learnpress app. So I did the “fun” task of deactivating and reactivating all my plugins to figure out what was causing the issues. The minute I deactivate the Yoast plugin all my issues go away. I need all four of these plugins activate, so am hoping for a solution. Yoast is definitely the issue with all the other plugins. Can someone please suggest a solution or Yoast fix its issues of not playing well with other plugins, including the WP platform?

    Thanks
    Heidi

  • Me too! I just started having the same issues after the last update from 5.9.2 to 5.9.3.

Was wondering what had “broken” my page this morning: WP Bakery Page Builder (formerly Visual Composer), TinyMCE Advanced, and Simple History all stopped working or disappeared. Went through plugin by plugin, and I was able to finally get Simple History working again and that’s when I saw there had been an automatic Yoast update. Once I deactivated Yoast, everything else works fine.

Hoping that this can get fixed ASAP — but until then I guess I’ll have to keep the plugin deactivated.

I’m on the hunt for a new SEO plugin just in case. I prefer Yoast but this is a huge issue and I need my SEO. I’m hoping the fix it!

We apologize for any inconvenience. Can you please check whether you have any Javascript errors in your browser console? How to check errors in browser console?

Do I need the Yoast plugin enabled for this check to work? And does the website need to up and running? I’ve looked at your link and I’m a little unclear on all this.

As I recall, with Yoast turned on, I didn’t notice any Javascript errors, or any other errors for that matter. There were no obvious errors, which was the most frustrating part because I didn’t have a place to start troubleshooting.

As far as I know, the website was still up and we didn’t experience any front-facing issues, but multiple plugins on the backend just disappeared, any tabbed content was not working — wouldn’t switch to selected tab –, or text would be formatted into a single line on the dashboard (for Simple History).

Yeah, my text on the backend is formatted in one single line and I’m having issues with the formatting in my Learnpress classes that go away when I disable Yoast. It’s also causing issues with the formatting in my Memberpress plugin backend. The only issues showing on the front end is the formatting in the Learnpress course, which is cramming all the words together.

Anybody else have any updates or solutions here?

Kind of an important time for our SEO to not be affected and I’ve unfortunately had this plugin off for a week.
