Yoast Plugin Can't Pick Up Keyword in Text
-
Since the last couple of versions of the plugin, Yoast seems to get confused and can’t find the focus keyword in posts. It’s extremely irritating. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.
I have a prime case, where I am writing “state” specific pages on topics of safety. The titles are similar. The focus keywords are similar. Some pages are fine. But then other pages will have 6 or 7 instances of the focus keyword in the body, and in Subheadings (H2), but for some reason Yoast just can’t find them and reports 0%.
Has anyone found this to happen? If so, what did you do? One one occasion I noticed that the text was place inside an <img tag and Yoast couldn’t find the keyword there. That was rather disappointing, but fixable.
But I’m working on a page and there’s NO excuse for Yoast not to find the instances.
I’d appreciate the help! The Sample page I’m working on is the following
https://www.osha10hourtraining.com/oregon-osha-safety-training/
Focus keyword: oregon osha safety training
It finds it in the title, metadata, but not in obvious subheadings or the text itself.!I think there’s a few bugs in Yoast that can really hurt your productivity!
Thanks.
