Yoast Plug Causing Editor Error: “The editor has encountered an unexpected error.”

This happens when I try edit a page/post or create a new one.

There are a lot of these topics open, none have a solution.

I’ve tried the troubleshooting steps Yoast support shared, including deactivating plugins and even switching the theme to WP 2021. Nothing helps.

The only solution is to uninstall Yoast and the problem is solved. But I love the plug and want to continue using it.

Interestingly, when I’m using Elementor, I can edit the existing page, but still can not create a new page.

    Thanks,

@vbubuioc We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site.

Can you please first confirm whether the issue still occurs when using a default theme such as TwentyNineteen, and only having the Yoast SEO and the plugin active?

If the issue does still occur with the TwentyNineteen theme and only Yoast SEO and the plugin active, can you please check in your browser console to see whether any JavaScript errors are being output while the issue is occurring? We have a guide on how to check for JavaScript errors using the browser console feature here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/`
