Yoast OG stopped working?

    I installed Yoast last week, and stopped having problems with facebook not sharing featured images, but now, facebook has stopped recognizing the og image tags and is not sharing images again.

    I haven’t changed or reconfigured any aspect of the code or the website since Yoast installation, so I’m not sure what’s wrong. Facebook rescrape and debugger did not work, it’s just saying og image tag is not there.

    Any suggestions?

  • Check your page source to SEE if the OG data actually there or not. Best way to check.

    ALSO:

    Working on all our sites just fine.

    TEST:
    a) check you have required version of PHP for your site
    b) check you are running WordPress 4.7.3
    c) manually delete old plugin folder via FTP
    d) manually install new plugin via FTP
    e) resave permalinks
    f) clear transients with WP-Optimize or similar.

    Best way to update if you have random oddball issues on updating.

    All of these were done before I posted here. Still having oddball issues. I also ran your new update and the problem is still happening.

    Not sure what’s wrong. What’s really irritating is that it’s intermittent. Sometimes OG will fetch/see the image, sometimes it won’t.

    At first I thought it was my sharing plugin, but when I direct copy/paste the URL to FB, it’s still not fetching image after multiple rescrapes, both through OG and API.

    Not really sure how to proceed.

    And, for the record – FB debugger says the tags are there, it’s just not sharing the content. ????? Just bizarro.
