Yoast not working any more latest release

    Hello,

    Since updating wordpress and yoast to the latest version, it has stopped working. It doesn’t show at all in our custom posts, doesn’t display (tabs are there but none show info) in normal posts and it doesn’t allow to change between visial and text tabs.
    I have tried the regular stuff like deactivating all plugins/ theme etc and it’s certainly YOAST. I updated immediately to the latest one and still have same issues.
    I can see lots of people are having the same issues, any suggestions?
    I’ve disabled the plugin for now. Thank you!

  • This issue is there with many people who are using the latest Yoast plugin version – 12.8.

    I am also facing the same issue on my website.

    I believe waiting for an update from the Yoast developers is the only solution left since downgrading the plugin is also not working.

    Also experiencing issues since upgrading to v12.8. Yoast is not working at all on my website. It seems like some kind of glitch. Hoping they fix it soon.

    Take a look here and here. There is a temporary fix available.

    Latest Yoast SEO update(12.8) disabled the SEO Meta Box for custom post types such as portfolios.

    Our development team has found a fix for your issue and the bug will be resolved in our next release. Unfortunately, we do not have an estimated time for the release of this version.

    Bugs are reported, investigated and fixed in GitHub so this topic was closed in favor of the GitHub issue.

    Hi thank you but the issue has not been resolved and I checked the github solution and it doesn’t apply as it’s not even the same issue…

    I had already checked SHOW on all options of all settings I could find and still metaboxes don’t show…
    I can see Yoast SEO box and the 3 tabs below: seo, readability and social but i can’t open them or modify them. I can only see the titles.
    I can’t find a way to revert to an older version? Could someone let me know if there is any way to revert to an older version of the plugin? I’m thinking even 12.6 as 12.7 already had many issues… I tried updating to 12.8.1 and same errors everywhere..
