Yoast Not Showing Snippet of content in Post Page

    Hello I noticed that the Yoast plugin is not showing the snippet of the content from my posts which it was below. It just states please provide meta description instead of the actual content it was showing before.

  • I have to second that, the layout of the yoast form in the article backend looks terribly screwed, it is not possible to edit titles and descriptions any more nor see the snippets as they should look like. Please get back to me if you need a screen shot.

    Could you please update to Yoast SEO for WordPress v7.7.1 and see if this fixes the issue? Can you confirm you are also using v4.9.6 of WP?

    Could you please send us a screenshot of the issue you are facing? Are you using any page builder plugin or custom theme box to insert the content?

    Version 7.7.1 did not fix the problem. We are using Newsmag theme with tagDiv Composer and a few other tagDiv Plugins on WP 4.9.6.

    Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:
    1. Check for conflicts.
    2. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.
    If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

    Hello i updated to the latest version of the plugin and i am running the latest version of WP. The section of the snippet preview only shows
    “Please provide a meta description by editing the snippet below. If you don’t, google will try to find a relevant part of your post to show in the search result”

    I tried to clear cache to see if it was that however, nothing changed.

    Before it was auto populating that section before a few updates ago.
