Yoast not excluding category from sitemap

I’m using version 1.3.4.4
I’m trying to exclude default wordpress category “Uncategorized” from my sitemap. I’ve set Never Include in sitemap option from edit category page. But its is still in sitemap. I even tried by deleting and re-installing the whole plugin but nothing is working
