    Hi
    How are you today?
I have a website built with a custom theme that uses the Redux framework to create front page content as options and those options get content from custom post types and show them on the page.

The problem is Yoast SEO plugin does not detect or count the words on the page, links, images and show errors as you see in the picture https://prnt.sc/Dx-zD9CBn9N2

You can see the sentence: ‘The text contains 26 words.’.
It means the text that I put in the WordPress editor as you see in the picture https://prnt.sc/2LeSYDDYINOd

So what are the solutions, please?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@mokhtarbensaid We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue on your site.

In regards to your issue, if your page has content and you are receiving the message of ‘The text contains X words’ and the number of words counted is not correct, this is typically due to the content of the page being created outside of the default WordPress editor. Some page builder plugins are not able to share the content created in them with the readability analysis feature of Yoast SEO.

Can you let us know if you are using a page builder plugin such as Visual Composer, Site Origin, Beaver Builder etc to create your page’s content? The SEO and readability analysis feature scan sometimes not work correctly if you are using some kind of visual page builder, as they can cause the page’s content to not be accessible to the plugin due to it being created outside the functions of the standard WordPress page editor.

If this is the case the only workaround to this currently is to create the content from within the standard WordPress editor. We have additional information available on this issue at the following link: https://yoast.com/help/error-text-contains-0-words/

Regarding links, if links you created in your page’s content are not being recognized, there are a few cases where a link might not be recognized:

Only links from inside the WordPress post editor are recognized. This means that links from navigational bars, menus, sidebars or footers are not recognized.
Links need to be in absolute form. This means that links need to include the full domain. For example, https://www.example.com/page-a is an absolute link, while /page-a/ is a relative link.

The internal linking tool will only recognize links on the page that are input in the standard fashion of including a text based link from within the WordPress editor, and not from links that were created using modules of other plugins in WordPress, such as many page builders for examples.

However, Google and other search engines will still be able to see the links, so if the internal link isn’t being recognized by the analysis, it will still be seen and crawled by search engines.
