Yoast no sitemap

    Hi,

    Will the Yoast SEO settings work even if I don’t use the Yoast or WordPress default sitemap and don’t provide it in the robots.txt? I have added my sitemap directly to Google search console and my posts are being indexed.

    Thanks for reaching out regarding your sitemap.

    We also consider it unnecessary to add your sitemap URL to the robots.txt file. The way to go is to submit the sitemap in the Google Search Console. We are glad to hear your posts are being indexed!

    Ok, great ?? And the Yoast seo settings will work as normal? They won’t be ignored when using this approach?
