    Hi all,

Our Yoast functionality appears to have dropped off. All content on WP is showing as red. It thinks there is no text when there is, that there are no internal links when there are, etc etc.

    Ideas?

  • Hi @rsj77,

    Thank you for reaching out.

We understand that you no longer see our SEO feedback and that everything stays red.

In order to help troubleshoot this, we would like some more information:

    A) Are you using our latest Yoast SEO version 14.9?
    B) Is your WordPress up to date (v5.1.1)?
    C) Are all other plugins and themes up to date?
    D) Are you using a 3rd party page builder to write your content?

    Hi there –

    1) Yes
    2) Yes
    3) No – we have some plugins that require updating, but ‘inconsistent file permissions’ prevent us from doing so
    3) No

    Hi @rsj77,

    Thank you for your reply.

We understand that some plugins on your site can’t be updated and are not running their latest versions. This might be causing issues where Yoast can’t scan your content on the post/page editing screen, but we can’t be sure.

We would encourage you to do a conflict check to see if the issue also persists when the Yoast SEO plugin is the only one active. If our plugin even fails to read your content, there might be other things going on too. The quickest way to do a conflict check is by using the Health Check plugin troubleshooting mode. We have a step-by-step guide here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.

Please let us know what you find.
