@pennybad Can you please confirm you are using the most recent Yoast v7.6.1 and WordPress 4.9.6? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/

If after confirming that you are updated the issue is still occurring, this could also be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:
    1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
    2. Check for conflicts.
    3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.
If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.
If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

We have the same issue when we use the Intuitive Custom Post Order plugin. There’s already an open issue about that.

@gchtr According to the https://github.com/hijiriworld/intuitive-custom-post-order/issues/25 issue, it is an issue specific to the 3rd party Intuitive Custom Post Order plugin. So, the relevant plugin author would be the best place to assist you.

@mazedulislamkhan Yeah, I meant to say that the issue might not be with Yoast, but with the Intuitive Custom Post Order plugin. I could solve the issue by not using another plugin for now. I put my answer here in case someone uses that plugin too and runs into the same error.

@gchtr thanks for providing the information for those encountering any conflicts with Yoast SEO and the Intuitive Custom Post Order plugin.

I have the same issue with my website.
The SEO Title and Meta Description are correctly made but they are not saved.

Same issue for me. i am using premium yoast plugin, but not able to save. I do not use Custom Post Order plugin. Are there any other known conflicts with yoast seo? Cannot save title or meta descriptions and the backed becomes extremly slow when enabling yoast seo.
