Hello. On some of my blogs I have plugins installed to create rich snippets for certain post types (e.g. recipes). Do I need to do anything with my Yoast settings to ensure that its meta settings (post/page title and meta description, for example) do not override the Rich Snippets meta (i.e, so search engines find the Rich Snippet rather than a one-sentence description)?

While there is no option available at the Yoast SEO plugin to not override the rich snippets meta from the 3rd party Rich Snippets plugin, we suggest you please check the source code of your website to ensure there are no multiple copies of the same rich snippets and SEO data.

If there are no multiple copies of the same rich snippets and SEO meta, everything should work fine as expected.

I know how to look at source code, but not where to look for info on rich snippets and SEO meta. Could you clarify what I’m looking for or where to look in the source code?

You’ll need to ensure you don’t have duplicate meta tags or schema markup in the source code.
