  • This is happening to one of our client sites as well. looking forward to seeing any answers on this!

I found that it’s due to a conflict with the “Classic Editor” plugin. Hopefully this will be resolved soon?

    Thanks for both replies.

For me it’s the “Classic Editor” plugin. So when disabled it works again!

Any idea how to fix this, team Yoast?

    Hi,

Thanks for creating a new topic for this issue.

Yoast SEO v11.8 should work fine with the Classic Editor v1.5 plugin. You can confirm so by temporarily deactivating all non-Yoast plugins and switching to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Nineteen.

Please, test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site. As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.

That being said, we are aware of a conflict between the Classic Editor plugin and Thrive Architect that causes the Yoast metabox to not load properly. If you’re using Thrive Architect, we’d recommend you reach out to their support and bring this issue to their attention. They’ll be able to investigate the cause for the conflict and hopefully find a solution soon.
