I am building a site on mamp.

Normally, when I visit a page, the URL on mamp is https://sitename:8888/mypage.

However when I click a Yoast-created breadcrumb, the URL on mamp is https://sitename/mypage. the:8888 bit gets missed out, so none of the breadcrumb links work.

I expect this will clear up once the site is no longer on mamp, but is there anything I can do to fix this while still on on mamp?

    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

We are sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the Yoast SEO breadcrumb, and we’d be more than happy to investigate the matter further for you.

By default, Yoast SEO breadcrumb uses the site address (URL) from the WordPress general settings. Therefore, please make sure that you have the correct site address (URL) set on the relevant field.

Yes, I have both WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) set as https://sitename:8888 on the General Settings screen, but as I say, the link from the breadcrumb just goes to https://sitename (the “:8888” gets left off).

The :8888 is the port number of your localhost setup. So, we are not sure whether this is something that we should take care of as you won’t experience the issue once you migrate your site to the production level.

That said, if you’d like you can still make a report of this directly into our GitHub development repository so our development team can decide on this.
