Hi, been using Yoast without issue for years but now I’m having a problem with Yoast not showing up on my website’s pages, only the posts.

I use Showit which has WordPress integration for blog only, however the homepage, which is what I want to change the Meta description for, is accessible through WordPress not showit. Letting you know in case it’s relevant (probably not!) To illustrate:

My homepage: Yoast isn’t there. https://prnt.sc/qkxrva
A regular blog post: Yoast is there. https://prnt.sc/qkxs6d

I rolled back to the previous version of Yoast (using WP rollback) but this hasn’t brought back the metadescription box for pages.

Please let me know how I can now amend my homepage’s meta description for Google SERPS. Thank you so much in advance for any help you can provide.

  • I have a zipped copy of 4.7.1 but cannot seem to manually roll it back, any steps?

A handy plugin is WP Rollback – makes the rollback to multiple versions a breeze.

Usually it is fine to deactivate and remove a plugin then reinstall it – all previous settings will remain in the database.

We’re sorry that you are experiencing problems that might be caused by our plugin!

@zoes0702 Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.
