    Hi,

    So did anyone notice any benefits after indexing posts? Like traffic increase due to “speed increases” or anything?

    All I see are issues with errors, sites getting traffic drops, etc. and wondering if it’s worth the risk or there’s no point to do this ever again.

    @djixas If you are wanting to see a comparison of your site’s speed metrics when using the Yoast SEO 14 plugin, there are a number of tools that we recommend including Google Page Speed Insights, Pingdom Tools, GTMetrix, Google Lighthouse, and WebPageTest.

    We would recommend you use all of these tools to check your site with. Combined they give the most complete overview of the performance and speed of your site. We also have additional information on how to use these tools here: https://yoast.com/site-speed-tools-suggestions/

    I’ve tested on my 5+ other sites and there was 0 difference on gtmetrix nor analytics av page speed load by weekly intervals, so wondering if anyone has different results

    @djixas

    The indexing is expected to improve the performance of only the Yoast SEO Premium plugin. Where before we had to make several calls to retrieve the post meta information, the plugin now makes a single call. This improves performance because there are less database calls.

    However, the plugin will not improve the performance of other elements of your site like scripts, caching, images, or redirects etc., caused by your theme or other plugins. These elements are not affected or controlled by the Yoast plugin in any way.

    Oh, so that’s why? I’ve never seen in your original post about indexables that this a premium only feature since my free plugins all got notifications and kept asking to me to indexables.

    Why isn’t this being communicated ?

    Hi,

    We apologize for the miscommunication. The indexables feature is found in both the free and premium version of Yoast SEO for WordPress, so you can expect that you’ll be able to leverage on the feature regardless of whether you are on the free or premium version of the plugin. You can learn more about it here — https://yoast.com/innovations/indexables/

    Please do note that ‘speed increases’ are not a guarantee, as it really depends on your website and set-up, but we were able to note that certain websites did get increased performance after implementing the indexables feature.
