Yoast hates if keyword in title has punctuation appended to it
-
I’ve had this happen before but I thought I’d put it out there to see if this might be considered a bug. Whenever I have a keyphrase in my title that’s followed by punctuation, Yoast gives the message:
Keyphrase in title: Not all the words from your keyphrase “perpetual tourist” appear in the SEO title. For the best SEO results write the exact match of your keyphrase in the SEO title, and put the keyphrase at the beginning of the title.
If I put a space between the keyphrase and the punctuation, I go back to the green light.
For instance, the post I’m working on is titled “Being a Perpetual Tourist… the Pros and Cons” with the words “perpetual tourist” being the keyphrase. Yoast seems to dislike the ellipses after the keyphrase even though I think Google would be just fine with that.
Any thoughts? I hate having a red light in Yoast!:-P
Thanks so much!
