Yoast conflict, still breaks Visual Composer

@ audreyfrench, if the problem you experience isn’t since updating to Yoast SEO 3.3, you’re probably not running the latest version of Visual Composer.
In that case, please update VC to version 4.12.

I just fixed this problem myself.
in /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/js/dist/wp-seo-post-scraper-330.min.js
is a var $ = jQuery;
This will not work though, i’ve replaced the the ‘$’ with ‘jQuery’ where there was an error and its working now.

That’s exactly the fix we’ve implemented in the 3.3.1 release, @9degrees!

Still giving a problem…. I updated to 3.3.2 and it seems that it still breaks Visual Composer when its in ADD NEW mode ( page, post, portfolio,etc)… for old posts it does recognize the Visual Composer but for new ones it just doesn’t appear at all.

any solution!?

Like @offcyclers I am also still having this problem, running 3.3.2 and most recent WP release. Is there any word of a fix for this because its causing problems on all my sites ??

Hello, I had this problem several months ago but it has been fixed now, I believe @whatachamp @offcyclers that the solution is what the author is recommending, to make sure you have the latest Yoast SEO update and also the latest visual composer.

Same issue even with the latest versions!!

WPBakery Visual Composer: 4.12
Yoast SEO: 3.3.2

My work-around for now: when I work at the website, I turn off Yoast. And turn it back on again after I am done. Not really ideal!

This issue have resolved. Yoast SEO not break Visual Composer any more.
BUT, It still break with any ADD-on of Visual Composer
Example: Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer (plugin)
Essential Grid (plugin)
Massive Addons for Visual Composer (plugin)
Can admin resolve this proplem?

We’ve been working with people behind Visual Composer to get issues between our products resolved. This resulted in a pull request from our side. It’s expected to be merged this week.
So, with the next update of VC, things should be better.

I still have an issue with WordPress 4.6.1, Yoast SEO 3.6.1 and Visual Composer Version 4.12.1.
The issue appears when I try to save changes in Grid Builder in VC – clicking SAVE does not work and, as you would expect, changes are not recorded. Disabling Yoast plugin resolves this immediately.

UPDATE: (Reply from WP Bakery – Visual Composer Devs – after I raised a ticket, referencing this issue.):

“Thanks for sharing. We are also planning to test our next release 5.0 with the yoast plugin. So if there is any fix required from our end or in our code, we will do so.”

I’m getting the same problem : when I am editing a post with several elements from Visual Composer, it is hanging.. With Firefox I could pass in debug mode the js script which is actually hanging and it is wp-seo-post-scraper-380.min.js, but I am not able to fix it.

WPBakery Visual Composer Version 4.11.2.1 (I got this plugin through a theme so I am note able to upgrade it)
Yoast SEO 3.8
WP 4.5.4
