Recently I have noticed significant latency issues when editing a WordPress Page. Through the process of elimination (deactivating and activating plugins) I have discovered it is the Yoast Seo plugin that is causing this.

It has happened on 2 different computers, though both were using Chrome browser (Version 52.0.2743.116 m) The plugin version is 3.4.2. WordPress version is 4.5.3. System is Windows 10 Anniversary Edition.

  • We are also experiencing this same issue on our website. Our site is quite large and we have 20+ editors, so this is causing quite a problem for us.

We are running WordPress 4.5.3 and Yoast version 3.4.2

Actually I faced the same issue and I had to roll it back to previous version to keep my site running.

I believe there are queries which are hitting every single row in the posts table. Again, I have no proof, just a thought.

This continues to be a problem at times and I see that the Author has never replied. Here is what Developer Console is showing a huge (dozens) number of times trying to edit one page in Chrome….
